Carolyn Burnley
Voice type - Mezzo Soprano
Carolyn studies singing with Brian Parsons and has undertaken further study at Morley College, CityLit and AIMS. At Morley she was awarded places on the highly acclaimed Lieder Master Class with Richard Jackson and Aria Master Class with Anthony Roden. She has also participated in master classes with noted vocal coaches at AIMS International Music School.
Carolyn has sung with Porcupine Productions, Surrey Opera, Guest House Opera , #Operaco and Utopians Unlimited. The roles she has sung include:-
Carolyn is a useful bump or dep for choral societies and church choirs and sings with Stag Montem Chorem in various cathedrals around the country. She is also violinist and orchestral player and has good musicianship skills. In the past Carolyn sang with London Choral Society performing large choral works at top London Venues including RAH, Festival Hall and The Barbican with noted conductors including Sir Simon Rattle.
Carolyn originally studied violin and classical guitar as a junior scholarship student at Trinity College of Music, London. She is an accomplished violinist and plays with several orchestras and groups.
She studied German to a high level and now particularly enjoys singing Lieder.
